We are a large-scale lingerie and swimwear supplier to European high street retailers and the supermarket sector, with a UK design team based in our studio in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. We are responsible for trend forecasting, design and product development, market analysis, and customer communications including product presentations.
We are recruiting for a designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in the own/private label sector to join our friendly team in Leicestershire.
Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for your own accounts, providing underwear design, technical support, and account management, ensuring key performance parameters are met.
- Identifying market influences and latest trends which have strong commercial appeal.
- Researching and compiling comparative brand reports.
- Preparing fabric sourcing and customer presentations.
- Supporting in the design and development of internal inspiration collections.
- Preparing design packs and monitoring sample development.
- Attending fitting sessions with customers and our China technical team.
- Attending customer meetings in the UK, Europe, and China.
- Email communication to follow up with customers and manufacturing teams.
- General office duties relating to working in a small team, telephone, parcels, etc.
- Degree in Contour design is necessary.
- Must be suited to working within a small team and capable of managing your own accounts.
- Good CAD skills, including experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Great organisational skills and bags of enthusiasm.
- Excellent understanding of market positioning of different brands we work with and adaptability in approach to design to accommodate and delight our customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be UK based as Visa sponsorship will not be considered.
- The role is office-based with one day per week working from home.
- Opportunities for travel to our Far East factories and international market research.
- Several fully funded team events each year.
- 30 days leave per year, including bank holidays.
