The Role
A GAIN, we believe that brilliant digital experiences should be inclusive for everyone. As an Accessibility Consultant, you’ll play a key role in making that happen, combining technical expertise, curiosity, and collaboration to help our clients create products and services that work beautifully for all users.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality accessibility audits for websites, applications, and digital products, providing actionable recommendations and consultancy that meet industry best practice.
- Communicate audit findings and solutions clearly through written reports, presentations, and client workshops.
- Deliver accessibility training and guidance to clients and internal teams, helping to embed best practice across projects.
- Support the growth and development of GAIN’s Accessibility function, contributing to the creation of innovative and inclusive digital experiences.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to plan, scope, and deliver accessibility work that meets objectives, milestones, and deadlines.
Client & Project Delivery
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication, reliability, and exceptional service.
- Manage expectations and identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and project impact.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, maintaining high quality standards and consistent delivery under pressure.
- Use accessibility tools, automated testing suites, and agile workflows to streamline audit and delivery processes.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Keep up to date with emerging standards, technologies, and accessibility approaches, sharing insights with the wider team.
- Contribute to GAIN’s internal knowledge base and thought leadership by writing articles, blog posts, or case studies.
- Identify and suggest improvements to internal processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and quality.
Professional Development
- Take ownership of your learning and growth, seeking feedback, applying new skills, and pursuing professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with mentors and peers to continuously improve performance and technical capability.
- Demonstrable experience in accessibility auditing or consultancy within a commercial environment.
- Solid understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and assistive technologies.
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
- Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a supportive, high-performing culture.
