The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will be responsible for the quality of food in our bakeries, delivering this by supporting Head of Food to build on and grow our processes and execution. You will implement inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes to drive quality, professionalism, and pride in our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GAIL’s Bakery is a craft-focused business that makes fantastic food and coffee. We love food and want to share that love with our communities. As a craft expert, you will support the delivery and implementation of the commercial quality plan in food.

  • Quality Governance
  • Establish a quality assurance system for implementation in our bakeries.
  • Establish a regular quality control program to drive and develop baking craft.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement of Bakery performance and quality through feedback, coaching and documentation.
  • Facilitate a successful food quality feedback loop, working collaboratively with Food Training Team and other key departments to drive engagement and success.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to continually improve what we do and support execution of our standards across a range of opportunities.
  • Commercial Insight & Key projects
    • Lead, deliver and embed key business objectives for improving our bakery procedures and practices, such as visual quick sheets and standardizing measuring.
    • Highlight and drive our commercial lens in bakeries, driving successful practices into habits.
    • Continuously challenging our bakery activities and driving commercially savvy and quality focused conversations to support our teams.
  • Bakery Openings and Extra support bakeries
    • Support new Bakery Openings, 2 weeks after opening with follow-up visits to focus on product quality and implementation of our ways of working, delivering concise and actionable feedback to training and management teams.
    • Support execution and engagement of the food agenda in our bakeries.
  • NPD support
    • Support the implementation and rigorous testing processes for existing and new products, equipment and procedures from an operational point of view.
    • Facilitate openness with the different teams to establish or improve procedures, standards, and systems.
    • Plan, implement and deliver a rigorous testing process for existing and new processes, products, and procedures from an operational viewpoint.
    • Be present on launch days, and key meetings through the NPD process to support and govern the in-bakery execution of concepts.

    Food Quality Partners ensure that the final product observes the company's quality standards. In general, these detail-oriented professionals are responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes with a commercial lens.
