As people partner, you will lead us in driving our people experience and delivering our best-in-class people strategy through true partnering with our operations leadership team, operations team, and the wider people team.

As people partner, you will lead hearts and minds across the wider business to deliver on our mission, vision, and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working together with our operations managers, Bakery Managers and support teams to align businesses goals and devise a people roadmap linked to the higher business strategy.
  • You will collaboratively drive the succession and talent mapping, drawing upon our recruitment and learning teams to grow and develop our people internally to support our future growth plans
  • Drive the people experience and value proposition in your region so to attract and retain the best talent in our sector, making sure every individual gets the most out of working for GAIL’s
  • Support the wider people strategy through creating human, scalable and sustainable people infrastructure and practices which enable high-performing teams and help our growth.
  • Coaching operators, and their management teams to ensure that they are comfortable and confident with their leadership and management style.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with the people team to tap into our collective wisdom and share your own
  • Work with our people shared service to build on the nuts and bolts of our people experience
  • Overseeing the employee relations processes in your region ensuring adherence to company policy,
  • Informing, iterating, and challenging our people strategy to ensure we are setting the market trends rather than being led.
  • Running experience workshops, to drive engagement and to provide qualitative data to inform our future benefits suite.
  • Champion wellbeing and inclusion initiatives within GAIL’s driving a culture of care at all levels.

AND YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT

  • experience of working within growing businesses in a People Partnering role.
  • You’ve built and managed a great team of people yourself so that you can lean on your practical experience when coaching managers and leaders.
  • You consider coaching and mentoring as key parts of your People toolkit (even if you’re not a qualified coach); having worked directly with Operators, leadership teams and across whole businesses, you feel comfortable talking to a diverse range of stakeholders with different interests, perspectives and personalities.
  • You enjoy facilitating practical and experiential workshops that lead to meaningful development and behaviour change
  • You are comfortable zooming out to take account of the whole picture and zooming in to do the doing
  • You’re capable of context-switching and are excited by variety – each week.
  • You’re endlessly curious and embrace the philosophy of strong opinions weakly held; you’re never possessive over ideas and don’t believe there is one right way to do things
  • You’re self-aware and reflective – you’ve experimented a lot in your career so far and have a good sense of what worked and what didn’t.
  • You have a good level of ER experience and are confident in coaching on a variety of cases.
