Are you a dedicated healthcare professional ready for something different — something that lets you use your clinical skills in a new, meaningful way? If you’re a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic, this could be the perfect next step for you. Our client delivers fair, thorough and compassionate assessments for individuals applying for the Government’s Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Their focus is simple: helping people feel heard, understood and supported. This role gives you the opportunity to use your expertise without shift work, bedside care, or the physical demands of your current role — all while making a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct telephone, video, in-person and paper-based assessments to understand how a claimant’s condition impacts their daily life
  • Work in a hybrid model — primarily from home, with scheduled days at your nearest assessment centre
  • Produce clear, detailed 3,000–4,000‑word reports to support decision making by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Apply your clinical judgement with professionalism, empathy and impartiality

You’ll receive full training to help you deliver high‑quality assessments and confident, evidence‑based reports.

Training and Support

This role is different from traditional healthcare, which is why you’ll receive a structured training programme (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). The first six months can be the steepest learning curve, so dedicated mentorship and ongoing support will be in place to help you succeed.

Starting salary: £39,500 per year OTE up to £43,350. Clear development and progression pathways. Hybrid working. Improved work–life balance.

What You Need

  • A minimum of one year post‑registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedic
  • Full registration with NMC, HCPC or equivalent, with a valid PIN and no restrictions
  • Strong communication, listening and observational skills
  • The ability to type at least 32 words per minute
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and remote systems such as MS Teams
