The role of an RMN Nurse Assessor is rewarding for someone who thrives in a communication and patient-focused environment. Your day-to-day role will include:
- Holding consultations with people over the phone, in person or on video making a claim for the Personal Independent Payment (PIP) benefit or Work Capability Assessment (WCA) in relation to a disability, injury or condition.
- Conducting a thorough functional medical assessment of their disability or condition.
- Using your strong communications skills to learn more about how their disability affects them.
- Working with a varied caseload and complex conditions including physical, mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments.
Your requirements:
- Full and clear registration with the relevant professional body NMC.
- A minimum of 1 year's post qualification experience.
- Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, empathetic and professional manner.
- Analytical and critical thinker.
- Type at minimum 30 words per minute.
