A UHNW family based in Henley is searching for an experienced nanny to care for their four children aged 7, 5, 3 and 1.5 years. The position is to work alongside their current rota nanny operating on a one week on/off rota, with a Wednesday handover. During working weeks, the nanny will provide 24/h on-call support.

Accommodation is provided in the form of a separate studio with a super king bedroom, private ensuite, and kitchenette, offering privacy distinct from the main family home. Overnight, parents retain responsibility of the monitors, and night waking is rare as the children are strong sleepers. On occasion, when the parents are away, the nanny will take full responsibility for overnight care, and as part of the rota position, the nanny will remain on call should any needs arise.

Both parents are hands-on and involved in the children's lives. Dad works in London/abroad but from home 1-2 days per week, while Mum is a doctor with a shift-based schedule, meaning the role will alternate between shared care and sole charge. Weekends are typically collaborative, with parents and nanny sharing the children between them. However, candidates must feel confident managing all four children independently, particularly during school holidays when both parents may be working.

Three of the children attend full-time school and nursery, and from September, the youngest will begin part-time nursery, creating valuable time for nursery duties, forward planning, and organisation. A full-time housekeeper is employed and manages all children's laundry and linen.

The family place strong emphasis on experience, longevity, and capability over qualifications alone. They are seeking a nanny who can confidently manage at least three children (ideally with prior experience of four), understands sibling dynamics across a wide age range, and demonstrates a genuine commitment to long-term placements.

Experience supporting school-aged development or educational activities would be advantageous, but is not essential. Flexibility and adaptability are key, with the ideal candidate feeling equally comfortable embracing outdoor play in all weather as they are accompanying the family to restaurants and supporting the children's social development and table manners.

Organisation and initiative are highly valued within the household. The nanny will be forward-thinking during school hours, planning meals, coordinating activities, so that when all four children are together on weekends and school holidays, everything is prepped and ready for the day.

The family travels frequently, including destinations such as Fiji, Colorado, Hawaii, Mauritius, and Turkey, and rota patterns may adjust during extended trips of two to three weeks. A confident driver is required, along with strong swimming ability, as the children love water-based activities. The nanny should also be comfortable around dogs, as the family have two Golden Retrievers.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong swimmer
