A family based in Little Venice are seeking a nanny to join them on a long-term basis. They have two little ones, a six-month-old boy and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. Both parents work, mum as a lawyer and dad as an entrepreneur, and they have a housekeeper in place. Mum is returning to work from maternity leave in January on a hybrid basis, and so although the role is sole charge, both parents often work from home.
Their current nanny is wonderful and leaving in October to have her own baby, so the family are looking for someone to step into a happy, well-established household. Their daughter has a huge personality. She is active, super fun and loves her sport; football, basketball and tennis, and is a Liverpool football fan! The family would love a nanny who can match her energy, someone chatty and lively who genuinely enjoys the role.
From September the eldest goes back to nursery from 9.30am to 12.30pm, then is at home in the afternoons. The family like the days to be a mix of classes and outings such as Tarka, Monkey Music and playdates, alongside baking, arts and crafts and garden play at home. The family are very focused on healthy, fresh food, and would like the nanny to prepare all the children's food and snacks. There are housekeepers in place, so there is no housekeeping as such, but would like the nanny to tidy up after the children and keep their spaces clean and tidy.
The family have a Rottweiler, a friendly, happy 60kg dog who is very much part of the household, so the nanny needs to be comfortable being around a large dog. The housekeeper is not a dog person in general but loves this one, which says it all. A driver is essential. No travel is required with this role.
The parents place a huge value on education and early development. They would love a Norland-trained nanny, though this is a strong preference rather than an essential.
