A motivated mechanical engineer is required for our market leading global engineering client to service, repair and maintain engineering plant machinery equipment. In return there is an excellent salary of circa £30k-£35k+ doe plus benefits including a generous company bonus and contributory pension, healthcare scheme plus a great career opportunity in a highly reputable expanding company.
Ideal candidate
- Good electromechanical, mechanical engineering experience and ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams
- Good service, repair, maintenance experience, ideally of plant, machinery, vehicle, automotive equipment
- Good service engineering, maintenance engineering, repair engineering experience of engine run vehicles, large vehicles, plant equipment or FLT, HGVs, access platforms or similar
- Engineering qualifications - mechanical, electromechanical or similar e.g. NVQ level 3, C&G, HNC, HND etc Apprenticeship trained
- Good service or electro-mechanical background ideally working on HGVs, Fork Lift Trucks, Access Platforms, petrol run heavy vehicles, tanks, heavy lifting equipment. Full training will be provided on construction plant equipment.
- Any industry where maintenance service of vehicles and using motors, pumps, valves etc
- Full UK driving licence (80% workshop site based role with occasional site visits)
- Ex forces / ex military / ex defence / ex REME candidates who have serviced heavy equipment vehicles like tanks, helicopters, military trucks, HGVs, FLTs, tracked or wheeled vehicles are of interest
Key responsibilities
- Provide efficient maintenance, service and repair of plant equipment & maintain health and safety
- Diagnosing plant defects, equipment defects and plant failure (after training)
- Visit sites to repair plant/equipment defects where needed, providing excellent customer service
