Our Client: PETTIT Contracting’s renewable energy division - ‘ElectricAvenues’ is a growing provider of renewable energy solutions, committed to delivering high‑quality solar and wind installations on domestic, commercial and industrial projects. We are looking for skilled, self‑employed Cladders/Roofers to join our team in London and help us in our mission to promote sustainable energy.
Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and maintain solar panels on residential property roofs, and ground‑mounted solar panel systems on agricultural land in the county.
- Assess roof conditions to ensure mounting systems are suitable for solar panel installation on various types of domestic roof design.
- Measure and grind existing roof tiles to allow mounting brackets to be fitted to roof structures.
- Secure solar panels to roofs using appropriate mounting systems and learn the different requirements of each mounting system, such as the Renusol range.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with electricians and other team members to ensure seamless installation.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed solar panels as part of maintenance projects.
- Provide excellent customer service when representing the company to clients, customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Working at height safety certificate.
- Abrasive wheels safety certificate.
- Proven experience as a roofer, preferably with experience in solar panel installation.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Valid, clean UK driver’s license and reliable transportation.
