Responsibilities:

  • Install, replace, and maintain solar panels on commercial property roofs, and ground-mounted solar panel systems on agricultural land in the County.
  • Assess roof conditions to ensure mounting systems are suitable for solar panel installation on various types of commercial roof designs.
  • Measure and set out fixing points for rail mounting systems and brackets to be fitted to commercial roof structures.
  • Secure solar panels to roofs using appropriate mounting systems and waterproofing, learning the different requirements of each mounting system, such as the Renusol range.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with electricians and other team members to ensure seamless installation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed solar panels as part of maintenance projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service when representing the company to clients, customers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Working at height safety certificate.
  • Abrasive wheels safety certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Roofer, preferably with experience in solar panel installation.
  • Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Valid, clean UK driver’s license and reliable transportation.
