Location: Field based with a home location Central / North West corridor (Stoke on Trent to Lancashire)
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience (Suitable Vehicle provided)

Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston. They are a key player in their sector supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers nationally.
Gafoor\’s strong relationships with its contracted farmers has been central to its success and growth since 1964 and this is something the team take very seriously. The role of Fieldsman ensures that the independent growers around the UK feel valued, supported and part of the wider Gafoor community.
About the Role:
The focus of this role is to ensure that these relationships remain strong and mutually rewarding, bringing the farmers and the production facility together. The Fieldsman represents Gafoor within the industry and out on the farms.
Please note that the company are not offering sponsorship opportunities, therefore candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK to apply for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and monitor flock weights & production levels on individual farms
- Cross reference flock weights against placement and production schedules and communicate changes
- Check Health & Welfare standards are met to ensure that bird welfare is never compromised
- Ensure that all approved farms are working within The Red Tractor standards
- Own the day-to-day liaison on agricultural issues / projects / performance within the wider business,
- Communicate with Planning Team ensuring relevant information is provided promptly and accurately
- Attend external events and represent the Company\’s interests
- Ensure weekly paperwork is accurately completed and disseminated on time internally and externally
- Liaise with colleagues within the Agriculture department and other departments across the business operation to pass on and gather the information required to undertake your duties accurately.

Essential skills and experience required:
- Full UK Driving License
- Relevant poultry experience
- Excellent understanding of bird welfare issues
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to accurately record and analyse information
- People management
- Good understanding and experience of aspects of poultry production
