Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston. They are a key player in their sector operating on a national basis, supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers.

About The Role

Working within a dynamic FMCG environment, you will take ownership for the delivery of PPM's and minor works projects outside of the core production hours. Due to the nature of 'just in time' fresh food manufacturing, the engineering team need the support of two additional engineers who will be able to complete minor works, complete PPM's and drive projects forward which are not possible during normal production hours. This is a permanent night's role with the option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week (12hr shifts) covering a minimum 3 day week on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Sponsorship will only be considered for these roles from candidates who already have a valid VISA and who are currently working in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, using OEM data and reading technical specifications to reduce operational down time and improve PPM targets.
  • Take responsibility for minor project work with a focus on continuous improvement, machinery testing, installation and general engineering which cannot be undertaken during normal operations.
  • Stakeholder management: Work with Engineering, production, quality and external providers to deliver a high quality of Planned preventative maintenance.
  • System Administration: Maintain and update the site CMMS for accurate tracking and reporting.

About You

Skills and Qualifications required for this role:

  • Time Served, Experienced Mechanical Or Electrical - Essential
  • Proven experience of running a CMMS system - desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within the food manufacturing sector - Desirable
  • UK Driving License - Desirable
  • Experience in a fast-moving engineering environment - Desirable
