Location: Various customer sites across Scotland & Abroad.

Role Highlights:

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Site Fabricators and Team Leaders in the production and repairs of fish cage assembly work.
  • This role will involve working at our site in Barcaldine and/or working away from home, both on a three weeks on, two weeks off work pattern.
  • Due to the work pattern, home location is not important, however, you are required to get to Barcaldine for 0800hrs at the start of the work pattern and also when works are based at Barcaldine.
  • When working away, travel, subsistence and accommodation are provided.
  • Applicants with prior experience and those that are new to the Aquaculture industry are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Providing a high level of customer service to all Gael Force customers.
  • To carry out duties in the workshop, as outlined by your supervisor. This will include preparing pipes for site fabricators.
  • To support and assist Fabricators as and where required under appropriate instruction and supervision.
  • Ensure that machines and equipment are running efficiently and operated in accordance with company procedures.
  • To carry out additional duties including forklift truck operations, operation of general machinery, cleaning, packing and dispatch duties and any other duties requested by your line manager.
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times and report any problem areas to your line manager.
  • To support and assist the company in all areas of development and customer service.

What you’ll need:

  • Working away from home for up to 3 weeks
  • Experience in an outdoor construction environment
  • Good organisation skills
  • Flexible
  • Good team worker
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Aquaculture industry
  • Health and safety training
