To strengthen our sector‑leading service and maintenance offering, we’re looking for motivated Field Service Engineers to join our team. As part of our expanding service team, you’ll support installation, servicing, maintenance, and customer engagement across a wide range of aquaculture equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install mechanical, electrical, and feed systems on new‑build barges across Inverness, other Gael Force locations, and customer sites.
- Service pumps and generators, carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repair.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and feed systems in line with service agreements.
- Prepare detailed on‑site reports to support excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
- Deliver customer training on safe operation and maintenance of installed systems.
- Survey customer equipment to support quotations and upgrade proposals.
- Work closely with clients to assist planning and coordinate ongoing projects.
- Support small works pricing when required.
- Be part of ROTA for weekend Emergency cover.
- Complete all necessary QA documentation for installation and handover.
- Produce or follow RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) as appropriate.
- Assist at Gael Force production sites when not attending customer locations.
- Promote the benefits of routine maintenance and service contracts.
- Work in line with all relevant company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Undertake additional tasks as required to support wider Group operations.
- Mechanical or Electrical experience relevant to the role.
- Strong working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and fault‑finding (mechanical and/or electrical).
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- High levels of reliability and excellent time management.
- A valid UK driving licence.
For a 39‑hour working week, you’ll receive:
