Are you interested in kickstarting your career in wind energy? We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Wind Turbine Engineer with a passion for hands-on engineering and a willingness to learn. Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to gain practical experience maintaining our growing fleet of wind turbines across Scotland and the UK.
Responsibilities:
- The provision of preventative and corrective maintenance on various wind turbines as per Gael Energy instructions
- Completion of all relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, AWPs etc.
- Replacement of major turbine components e.g. generators, gearboxes and blades
- Troubleshoot on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Assist in all areas of site operations
- Establish and maintain general safety from the system
- Comply with customer site rules
- Report all incidents and occurrences as per Gael Energy company Health and Safety policy
- Adhere to Gael Energy policies in regard to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental aspects on site

- Ability to communicate clearly & concisely, both verbally & written and ability to explain technical issues to non-engineers, including Clients
- A valid driving license
This position is predominantly based at our company premises near Ellon, Aberdeenshire, but it will require frequent travel throughout Scotland and the UK. An attractive remuneration package will be provided commensurate with experience and relevant job training will be provided.
