GLOBAL AGENCY FOR COMMUNITY ACCELERATION (GACA) is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering youth to drive social, cultural, and economic development at the grassroots level. GACA focuses on providing educational opportunities for underprivileged children, fostering their talents, and promoting sustainable community progress. Through partnerships with various organizations, GACA works to equip young people with essential skills, knowledge, and mind education to enhance productivity, self-awareness, and resource management. The organization also supports initiatives such as clean water accessibility and creating a conducive community environment to improve overall quality of life.

This is a Volunteer remote role for a Director of Philanthropy and Major Gifts. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure philanthropic contributions, leading major gift programs, and managing relationships with donors. Key responsibilities include overseeing planned giving, conducting prospect research, cultivating donor relations, managing stewardship activities, and driving the annual giving campaigns. The individual will work collaboratively with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with the organization's mission.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Planned Giving, Annual Giving, and Philanthropy strategies
  • Strong skills in Prospect Research and identifying potential donors
  • Expertise in building strong relationships and executing effective Stewardship practices
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing major gift initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and community development preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field
