GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Petroleum Cargo Inspector within our Marine and Terminal Services (MATS) team to be based in Belfast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quantity determination inspections, including tank gauging, vessel surveys and cargo measurements in line with company and API procedures.
  • Conduct cargo sampling and testing in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Prepare and issue accurate, timely customer outturn reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support service delivery and business growth.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Plan and coordinate operational resources to ensure effective coverage of vessel discharges.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of surveying related work.
  • TIC Council Petroleum Inspector Certification (formerly IFIA) preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full and clean driving licence.
