About the Role
As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will work across various mainstream settings, delivering high-quality lessons and projects in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that all pupils make progress in the absence of their regular teacher. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of pupils within mainstream classrooms.
- Maintain effective classroom management and follow the school's behaviour policies.
- Provide feedback to the permanent class teacher regarding pupil progress and any issues encountered.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all children.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching within a UK Primary School setting.
- A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build quick rapport with staff and pupils.
- Flexibility and the ability to travel to different schools across the Kirklees local authority.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
