Whether you specialise in 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, or Moderate/Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), or hold experience in sensory regulation and nurture strategies, we offer stable long-term block placements and flexible day-to-day cover tailored to your schedule. Key Responsibilities * Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils achieve individual outcomes outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). * Implementing sensory routines, visual timetables, and adaptive learning materials in coordination with the class teacher and SENCO. * Assisting with emotional regulation, utilizing positive behaviour support strategies and proactive de-escalation techniques. * Fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes pupil independence, confidence, and well-being. * Maintaining strict adherence to school safeguarding guidelines and child protection procedures. Candidate Requirements * Proven experience supporting children or young adults with SEND, complex needs, or ASC in an educational, care, or youth work setting. * A solid understanding of child protection procedures and statutory Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance. * An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check during onboarding). * Alternative communication skills (PECS, Makaton) or de-escalation training (e.g., Team-Teach, MAPA, or Safety-Intervention) are highly desirable.
