SEMH Teaching Assistant in Birkenhead

GAC Education is recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants for specialist settings across Chester and Cheshire West, with immediate and upcoming starts on long term and day to day supply. Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in class, in small groups and at break times Following behaviour support plans and the setting's approach to calming situations Helping pupils regulate and get back to learning after time out of class Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff and keeping them up to date
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, whether in a school, residential care, youth work or a similar setting Calm, resilient and able to stay consistent under pressure Team Teach training is an advantage Happy to work in primary or secondary settings
