We are looking for an experienced and motivated Pharmacist Manager to lead a busy community pharmacy and support its continued growth and service expansion.

Role Overview

This is a permanent, full-time position suitable for a pharmacist who is confident in both clinical services and pharmacy management, and who is happy to take ownership of day-to-day operations, staff leadership, and service development. The successful candidate must be eligible and willing to train a Pre-Registration Pharmacist and support them throughout their training year.

Key Requirements

  • Worked as a community pharmacist
  • GPhC registered and in good standing
  • Confident and competent to train and supervise a Pre-Registration Pharmacist
  • Experience or willingness to lead a PMR system change
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload, staff, and services independently

Clinical & Advanced Services (Essential)

The pharmacist must be confident in delivering and managing:

  • Pharmacy First services (all pathways)
  • Ear syringing / ear care services
  • Travel vaccinations & travel clinic services
  • Prescribing (IP preferred but not essential if in progress)
  • Weight management / fat loss clinic services
  • Other enhanced and private services as required

Management & Operational Responsibilities

  • Overall day-to-day management of the pharmacy
  • Staff supervision, rota management, training, and performance oversight
  • Buying, stock control, claims, and supplier management
  • Ensuring compliance with GPhC, NHS, SOPs, and governance
  • Managing pharmacy administration and audits
  • Supporting business growth and service expansion
  • Maintaining high standards of patient care and customer service
