About the Role
G&A Security is expanding and we are now recruiting Night Shift Security Guards to support our growing operations across County Durham and the Tees Valley. This is a key role for reliable, professional, and customer-focused individuals who can deliver a visible security presence, respond effectively to incidents, and uphold the high standards our clients expect. You will be working across a variety of customer sites including commercial, industrial, and public-sector environments, supporting our security operations through overnight guarding and patrols.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting regular patrols and security checks (internal and external)
- Monitoring and maintaining site safety and security
- Access control – signing visitors in/out and managing entry points where required
- Reporting and documenting incidents accurately using company procedures
- Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, or suspicious activity
- Liaising with our in-house Control Room and duty management team when required
- Maintaining a professional image and strong customer service standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Professional, reliable and punctual
- Confident working independently during night hours
- Strong communicators with a calm approach under pressure
- Comfortable carrying out foot patrols and remaining alert throughout shifts
- Able to travel across County Durham / Tees Valley for regional cover

- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence
- A strong understanding of professional conduct and customer service
- Good written and verbal English (for report writing and incident updates)
- The ability to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
