We are now looking for a highly organised and proactive Bookkeeper / Buying Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This role combines finance and procurement responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and values accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Buying Assistant Duties
- Reconcile invoices to POs and post them to Xero
- Raise credit notes for incorrect invoices
- Check monthly supplier statements for any missing documents
- Update and import pricing spreadsheets to LiveCosts to reflect price changes
- Build and maintain product catalogues in LiveCosts
- Convert site order requisitions into POs (covering during annual leave)
Bookkeeping Duties (Accounts Payable)
- Import invoices into LiveCosts procurement software
- Maintain and update supplier account records
- Process and reconcile purchase invoices, bank transactions, and credit card statements
- Manage accounts payable
- Carry out end-of-month (EOM) supplier account reconciliations
- Support CIS submissions (if applicable)
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience in bookkeeping (student or working towards a qualification welcome)
- Interest or previous experience in buying/procurement
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software Xero
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management
- Clear communicator with both internal teams and external suppliers
- Organised and proactive problem-solver
- Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
