ROLE OVERVIEW
In this role as SEO Manager, you will be responsible for driving the SEO success of well-known brands to help them grow their businesses. You will manage SEO projects from strategy to execution, leading our team, and collaborating directly with clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills while continuing to learn and develop in the field of SEO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute medium to large-scale SEO strategies with the support of SEO Lead and Director.
- Analyse organic performance against client KPIs, clearly identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Uncover growth opportunities through strategic analysis, including content audits and competitor research.
- Manage SEO projects across multiple clients, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall strategic objectives.
- Minimum one year of people-management experience, including mentoring, training, performance oversight, and workload planning.
- Effectively prioritise initiatives, allocate resources efficiently, and provide the team with clear timelines to consistently meet project deadlines.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and demand analysis to identify opportunities for improved rankings and organic growth.
- Identify on-page content opportunities to improve visibility, and boost search engine rankings.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of GEO best practices, applying them to content strategy to maximise AI visibility and LLM citations.
- Oversee the development of high-performing content in collaboration with SEO Specialists and/or Copywriters.
- Monitor and analyse client site performance using a range of SEO and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, and SE Ranking.
- Produce clear, data-driven reports using existing Excel and PowerPoint templates, translating performance data into actionable insights, recommendations, and next steps.
- Be accountable for the organic performance of your clients and actively support in the development of new formats for reporting.
- Organise and lead regular calls with clients, including status updates and monthly reporting calls to analyse performance, strategies, and necessary adjustments.
- Be the first point of contact with clients in terms of addressing any of their questions and be comfortable to briefly educate them on areas they might not be familiar with.
- Identify opportunities to improve client performance and proactively upsell additional services where appropriate.
- Attend regular SEO team meetings to share knowledge, brainstorm new ideas, and stay informed about industry updates.
- Communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and new tools to ensure best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluency in English (C2 level).
- 4+ years of SEO experience with a strong passion for the field.
- Proficient Content and On-page SEO expertise.
- Good understanding of all Technical SEO areas.
- Good understanding of Off-page SEO areas.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient level of experience with Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Google Search Console, Data Studio.
- Good level of experience using Screaming Frog.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Bonus Qualifications
- Good understanding of other digital marketing channels (e.g., PPC, Social Media) and how they can synergise to offer maximum results.
- Hands-on Technical SEO experience.
- Hands-on experience in Off-page SEO and Backlink Building.
- Previous experience in a digital agency environment.
