G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Stores Operative to join our Facilities Management Team at HMP Oakwood, Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will ensure goods are received, stored and distributed correctly, maintaining the prison stores to the highest standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring that day to day stock control takes place so that appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Operate a computer based stock control system to record correct data in a timely fashion.
- Transport stock items to the required location for timely use.
- Document accurately all work carried out in accordance with company systems and procedures.
- Dispose of damaged stock appropriately to meet health and safety requirements.
- Ensure the maintenance of security within the prison environment by compliance with security instructions.
- Assist in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the site, including reporting accidents and near misses in a timely manner.
