The Programme Director (PD) will be accountable for the delivery of the mobilisation Project Plan, including all workstreams and deliverables, to time, quality and budget, in line with client and G4S service delivery requirements. The PD will create an efficient delivery environment for the controlled, planned and seamless progression to Operational Readiness through an effective project, reporting and governance framework in line with ‘The G4S Way’ methodology.
They will need to be versatile, agile and adaptable and be able to apply a range of disciplines, including project management, business analysis, and data analysis, to ensure quality and on time delivery of project objectives and deliverables, ensuring key milestones are met. This role is output focused and delivers to existing G4S Secure Solutions UK (SSUK) plans, but they will be required to respond to requirement and scope changes as they arise.
The PD role will be required to communicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to successfully develop and implement project deliverables. Many of the workstreams are to deliver the embedding of technology within the workplace, deployment of that technology and the training and education of employees in the use. The role is a national role working from home, however regular travel will be required to customer offices. Travel will also be required to SSUK hub locations at Tewkesbury, Leeds and London. A driving licence is required for this position.
The position requires the candidate to be flexible around the demands and requirements of the relevant projects which may include occasional evening and weekend working. A positive and flexible attitude to teamwork and a willingness to learn and get stuck in is critical as the PD will need to support the team members and other workstreams as required with tasks and deliverables of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Orchestrate the timely and quality delivery of the Mobilisation Programme Plan within agreed budgets.
- Own and develop relationships at programme delivery level across customer stakeholders.
- Ensure effective customer communications and reporting throughout programme delivery.
- Seek / record relevant stakeholder approval on any key milestones and test outcomes.
- Drive Implementation plan delivery and minimise risk throughout implementation.
- Ensure timely project delivery in line with key stakeholder objectives.
- Achieve operational readiness approval by service commencement date.
- Implement change control procedures and outcomes, recording stakeholder feedback.
- Fully understand customer requirements and priorities during project delivery.
- Oversee project communications on behalf of G4S.
- Deliver regular and accurate stakeholder reporting.
- Report against test plans and outcomes for operational readiness.
- Identify, prioritise and act upon the urgent and important issues.
- Develop, oversee and maintain the project RAID, ensuring timely communication of new risks/ issues or changes.
- Prepare and deliver risk mitigation and recovery plans.
- Oversee development and scheduled submission of milestone deliverables.
- Support and coordinate workstream leads to work as a team.
- Support the Project Team to deliver all requirements to time and plan.
- Work with professionalism, honesty and integrity maintaining confidentiality.
- Treat people fairly, with respect, impartiality and consistency.
- Translate complex situations into practical action plans.
- Coordinate and establish regular project governance and joint meetings.
- Prepare documents for review at internal and client project board meetings.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to identify and resolve dependencies.
