HMP Parc, Bridgend is seeking Prison Custody Officers (PCOs) for permanent, full-time positions (40 hours per week with various shifts). After 1 year of service, the salary is £30,250, and after 3 years, it increases to £31,500.

Prison Custody Officers are key to the effective running of our prisons. No specific qualifications or relevant experience is required. We aim to normalise prison conditions to reflect life in the outside community. It is essential that individuals in your care are treated with dignity and respect while being supported to find a new way of life in a safe, secure, and structured environment.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting prisoner reform, providing structure and routine, ensuring prisoners get to work in the morning, actively engage in education and the prison regime, and are secure in their cells in the evening.

Your initial training lasts for 8 weeks and includes comprehensive training in Control & Restraint, First Aid, Interpersonal skills, and Health & Safety.
