Salary: Β£14.50 per hour (Β£31,668 p.a)

The role
The Campus Duty Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the 24hr Static Guarding Team across the campus under the leadership of the Campus Security Manager (CSM). The role is to ensure G4S contractual services and standards are delivered and maintained with high customer service in mind and ensuring that appropriate staffing levels are deployed to meet the client's operational requirements, evidencing staff integration across the wider G4S operations on campus. A team of experienced and dedicated Security Officers will support you in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage campus related incidents, problems or queries, reporting and resolving in the prescribed manner, advising relevant parties within the timescale set.
- Set and maintain high standards of service and discipline especially related to officer behaviours, dress, appearance, discipline, performance and image related matters.
- Manage a fair and workable roster to company guidelines ensuring contractual hours are met.
- Assist the CSM in organising training and upskilling of officers, whilst continually assessing individual needs.
- Ensure officer standards of customer care are high.
- Complete monthly care reports in conjunction with the CSM and maintain electronic records and store securely, in line with GDPR policy.
- Maintain company documentation in an efficient, tidy and compliant manner (as may be required for client or police purposes).
- Be responsible and accountable for the maintenance of all company equipment on campus relating to 24hr static security and the wider operation.
- Manage the process for reminders for license renewals ie, Mandates/ SIA.
- Ensure a well briefed team with documentary evidence accordingly.
- Produce daily and incident specific reports to a set timeframe.
- Assist the CSM in the compilation of campus monthly reports.
- Action and respond to all workforce communications including holiday requests, queries seeking advice and guidance when required.
- Attend MCFC site meetings when requested to do so.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience of leading and managing a team in a service delivery environment.
Other skills we are looking for, include:
- Deliver contractual key performance indicators involving staffing levels, standards, reporting to the G4S Campus Security Manager and customer in person and via reports.
- People management skills, including the ability to inspire others to contribute their best.
- Prior experience of performance management including disciplinary issues, capability, absence management and conducting colleague achievement reviews.
- Ability to integrate with the onsite team and customer department leads.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to give clear direction and constructive feedback, develop two-way communication and deliver difficult messages in a sensitive and tactful way.
- Good level of analytical skills and the ability to effectively forward-plan, to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional service.
- First class customer service skills β able to demonstrate experience of building effective, lasting professional relationships with customers.
- Experience of dealing with HR issues to include performance, grievances and disciplinary.
- A strong employee minded ethos around safety, staff welfare, support, wellness and developing future talent in the team, a voice to senior management around front line issues and concerns.
- Deliver performance in line with annual budgets with support of Contract Manager.
- Support and identify innovation/best practice for improvement opportunities and service efficiencies.
Requirements for the role:
- SIA Door Supervisor license.
- Experience in guarding / Events industry (12 months minimum).
- Evidenced planning and organisational skills within a customer focused business.
- 5 years checkable work history.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written English language.
- Computer literate.
- A basic level of financial awareness, reading and understanding Profit & Loss.
- Requirement to work both day and night shifts.
Desirable:
- Experience of managing a casual workforce.
- CCTV Licence or willingness to work towards.
