Overview
In this role you will own a global fleet procurement framework managing a 150M spend across 100 countries while directly guiding UK fleet operations. You will drive cost efficiency, lead decarbonization and EV transition, and ensure UK transport compliance and Duty of Care, acting as the link between executive stakeholders and operations. This position blends strategic sourcing with hands-on fleet leadership to enable reliable, compliant, and sustainable transportation. A strategic, impact-focused leader will shape the global fleet program and UK execution.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic category management across 100 countries with 150M annual fleet spend
- Manage complex international tenders and RFPs with OEMs, leasing providers, fuel networks, and FMCs to deliver P&L savings
- Govern global supplier relationships with SLAs, KPIs, and QBRs
- Direct day-to-day UK fleet operations, including vehicle allocations, garage/workshop management, and maintenance programs
- Maximize fleet utilization and minimize downtime to ensure operational readiness
- Ensure 100% UK transport legal compliance, Operator's Licence requirements, and driver Duty of Care
- Define and execute global fleet decarbonization and EV transition strategies, including charging infrastructure and telematics
- Lead and develop UK fleet operations team (10+ reports) and build a 2-year global benefits pipeline
Key requirements
- 7+ years of leadership in commercial fleet procurement and operations
- Deep knowledge of UK transport legislation, O-Licence compliance, and driver Duty of Care
- Strong commercial negotiation with OEMs, leasing providers, fuel networks, and FMCs
- Experience executing fleet decarbonisation and EV/infrastructure strategies
- Proven ability to manage and coach teams (10+ direct/indirect reports) with strong spend analytics
- Desirable: CIPS MCIPS, CPC in Transport Management, FORS/AFP; degree in SCM, Business, Logistics, or Engineering
