The 154th Open (also known as the 2026 Open Championship or British Open) will be held from July 12–19, 2026, at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. G4S Events is proud to provide the security and safety of its visitors to this prestigious event.

Join G4S as an Events Security Officer to play your part in making some of the world's most exciting events an experience for everyone. You will be part of a team ensuring that some of the UK and the world's biggest events run in a safe, secure way, ensuring that everyone has a first-class experience.

Liverpool is a key location for G4S Events - with year-round contracts at prestigious sporting venues across the city, including Everton Football Club, festivals and horse racing. You could be part of making these events a success. If you're open to travel we even have opportunities to be part of some of the biggest events in the UK. You'll be part of a delivery team responsible for conducting searches, monitoring crowds and responding to security incidents. You'll be working at some of the world's largest events, often with thousands of people, so you'll need your experience as an SIA Door Supervisor licensed security professional to identify situations before they happen and respond accordingly to those that do. Equally important is your ability to deliver a great customer experience to help create a unique atmosphere. This is a varied role that will provide great memories: you could be based in the events space, outside with the fans or helping to protect world-famous athletes and staff. Friendly, professional and approachable, you'll use common sense to help people and ensure the events run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for those who want to enjoy flexibility in their work patterns.

You will need to hold your SIA Door Supervisor licence and be available to work in the evening and/or at the weekend. If you have security experience, or looking to start earning extra money and experience working within the Events Industry and hold your SIA Licence then you can do this. Applicants holding their Level 2 in Spectator Safety (or above) are preferred but not essential, however you must be willing to go through the funded training once on board.
