RF Engineer required for design, development, testing and approvals of short-range RF embedded devices for both the existing portfolio and the future roadmap. The job also entails researching new technologies, evaluating new development tools/processes and providing support and assistance in all RF matters.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Primarily contributing to the RF design and development of embedded hardware for offender monitoring equipment.
- Work within embedded development team to help identify current areas of concern in design process.
- Evaluate and analyse 3rd party software designed to enhance embedded systems development.
- Support efforts that ensure new products quickly reach the market.
- Develop new IP and ensure that it can be protected by following IP documentation and confidentiality processes.
- Maintain up to date understanding of the technology sectors applicable to the company’s current and future products.
- Ensure that all designs are fully documented and archived.
- Help ensure that all designs are fully type approved and that they meet all aspects of functionality and performance defined in the specifications.
- Provide technical support to operations and production teams to ensure product designs are understood and can be correctly manufactured, tested and maintained.
- Providing frequent updates on task progress with estimates of time elapsed and engineering effort required to complete assigned project tasks.
