G4S are looking to recruit a dedicated Installation Engineer based out of Belfast, you will successfully undertake the installation of high end addressable fire and associated fire safety systems in a wide variety of applications throughout the United Kingdom.

What will you be doing

  • To primarily undertake the installation of modern bespoke Addressable Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Refuge Alarm Systems & Associated Systems as scheduled by our Regional Installation Manager or Customer Support Centre throughout the UK.
  • The potential to undertake occasional service calls and out of hours call out – as scheduled by our Customer Support Centre.
  • To ensure that programmed installation and commissioning works are completed on time and within budget, and to a high standard in line with customer expectations.
  • To carry out on site training / demonstrations with consultants and end users.
  • To effectively manage your personal vehicle and vehicle stock.
  • To comply with the Company Health and Safety requirements.
  • To liaise with Customers at a local / site level.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety requirements are upheld at all times.
  • To minimise waste and the effect on the environment.
  • To respond to all communications within an appropriate time.
  • To use Company property responsibly.
  • To represent the Company’s best interests.
  • To be highly motivated with the ability to work on your own, with an excellent attention to detail.
  • To carry out other duties, which reasonably fall within the remit of the Systems Engineer - Commissioning, as requested by the Regional Installation Manager or Operations Management Team.
  • To represent the Company in a professional manner.
  • To maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • To ensure Customer satisfaction.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in the installation of high end bespoke addressable Fire Detection & Alarm systems.
  • Experience in the installation of the following Systems:
  • Gent by Honeywell Vigilon
  • Vigilon Voice product range
  • Baldwin Boxall Refuge System
  • Scope Paging Systems
  • Quantec System
  • Experience of working in a Customer facing field service based maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards for Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and aspirating systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Technical fault finding skills.
  • Attention to detail in completing Commissioning and As-Installed information in a tidy and timely manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Well organised.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • There is also some must haves

    • Must be able to pass BS7858 screening.
