G4S Facilities Management are recruiting an Engineering Supervisor on a full-time basis based within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Engineering Supervisor will lead and oversee a team of Engineers on a mobile basis across a range of sites within the Tower Hamlets Schools and/or Greenwich Schools contract. To ensure that the team of engineers complete all PPM and reactive maintenance activities in a timely manner and in line with contract SLAs and statutory compliance. This position requires experience in leading engineers in multi-disciplinary positions including Electrical, Mechanical and Fabric.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Engineers to complete assigned tasks, reactive maintenance, PPM, and minor project work.
- Quality check and sign off on installations and maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including records, PTW/ATW, and Contractor Management.
- Help create quotes for system upgrades and new installations.
- Carry out H&S checks and audits.
- Liaise with subcontractors and set to works for servicing.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance within their qualifications.
- Write reports and procedures for Building Maintenance.
- Assist in training maintenance staff.
- Maintain various types of building equipment and services.
- Follow drawings and manuals for maintenance and repairs.
- Work with other staff to develop cross-skilling and teamwork.
- Participate in emergency call out arrangements.
- Operate on a fixed site to assist with projects or cover absences.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
- Fully qualified in either Electrical, Mechanical or Fabric
- Experience of building and facilities maintenance
- Experience in leading Teams in a fast paced environment.
- Full, clean driving licence
- IOSH qualification
