At G4S Facilities Management we are passionate about the services we deliver; and our facilities management professionals are at the heart of everything that we do. We are looking to recruit a Logistics Service Operative to join our friendly team at a prestigious building in Cheltenham to undertake a range of Logistics activities which provide for the collection, carriage and delivery of a range of items. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 8 hour shifts between 6:30am and 4pm.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out manual handling tasks.
- Appropriately account for logistics tasks in order to maintain an audit trail.
- Drive vehicles and operate mechanical handling equipment on and off site.
- Undertake detached duty at off-site UK locations as appropriate, while such duties may include periods where it is necessary to be accommodated away from home (subsistence costs met in accordance with G4S policy).
- Continuously develop and improve daily tasks as required.
- Attend all appropriate training and development as required for this role.
- Appropriately wear and maintain all items of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Carry out vehicle and machinery inspections before use and complete the associated paperwork.
- Report all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses to the Appropriate Person - whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken.
