Birmingham is a key location for G4S Events, and Warwickshire County Cricket Club is a valued partner, who we are proud to have worked with for many years, providing both year-round and match-day security services at the city's high profile cricket ground. Edgbaston Stadium is a regular host of major domestic and international male and female cricket, and is known across the globe for world-class cricket. It is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club and its T20 team Birmingham Bears. Edgbaston has also been the venue for Test matches, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. With permanent seating for approximately 25,000 spectators, it was the home of cricket for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where it hosted the first women’s T20 event and this year they are playing host to Warwickshire Women, Birmingham Phoenix Women, as well as England vs India women one day match.
Following our successful Women In Security campaign in 2024, we now have further opportunities to enhance our female contingency for the forthcoming 2025 season, to conduct search duties of female visitors. Previous experience in security is not a must, but you must hold a valid SIA DS Licence. You’ll ensure the safety of our customers and clients and no matter where you are based, we will train and support you every step of the way. A typical shift will involve ensuring the safety of WCCC staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. Other elements of the role will include:
- Searching female customers upon arrival.
- Ensuring everyone follows the security and safety protocols of the site.
- Dealing with any security incidents on site whilst working with any of our teams.
- Being redeployed to pitch, response or hospitality.
