THE ROLE

  • Supervise direct reports in the execution of their security and escorting duties ensuring effective security procedures are enforced and operationally effective.
  • Liaise closely with our client in order to ensure the smooth administration and operational effectiveness of site and security, including operational report writing.
  • Be accountable for the security checking of all items of mail and courier deliveries prior to items being transferred to departments by postal section.
  • Supervise the contractor’s database and control the issuing of visitor and contractor passes to those visiting and working on the premises.
  • Be accountable for all keys and EAC swipe cards within the guardhouse and maintain the key register on a daily basis.
  • Support G4S Management by dealing with local matters concerning discipline and H&S.
  • Deal with any security related incidents that may occur on site, liaising directly with the Premises officer / PSNI Bronze site command and PSNI call-signs in response to a station incident.
  • Liaising with Station Support Services and Premises staff to ensure smooth operational administration for visitors and contractor access.
  • Provide input to the quarterly H&S/Security committee meetings.
  • Training new staff on site specific training requirements and maintaining training records when completed.
  • Perimeter Intruder Detection System PIDS.
  • Radio Training.
  • Refuge Communication System.
  • Use of the Fire Alarm computer and responsibilities should there be a fire alarm activation.
  • Lockdown procedures in response to an incident occurring on site.
  • General working practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The applicant should have a minimum of 5 years experience as a middle manager, ideally from a similar background with at least 10 direct reports. You will need to provide us with your 5 year employment history and have unrestricted right to work in the UK for screening purposes. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
