Join G4S as an SIA Security Officer and be part of the Commonwealth Games between 23rd July - 2nd August 2026 at Scottish Event Campus, Glasgow. Be part of one of the world’s most exciting multi-sport events as it returns to Glasgow this summer. We are recruiting SIA Security Officers to support the delivery of the Commonwealth Games at the SEC from 23rd July to 2nd August 2026, helping create a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for athletes, officials and spectators from across the globe.
Pay: £14.40 per hour.
Licence Required: Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
About the Role
As an SIA Security Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of everyone attending the Games. This is your opportunity to be part of a major international sporting event while gaining valuable large-scale event experience.
Responsibilities
- Conducting pre and post-event safety checks
- Managing secure entry and exit points
- Searching visitors in line with event security protocols
- Preventing prohibited or restricted items from entering secure zones
- Monitoring crowd flow and behaviour
- Responding to incidents calmly and professionally
- Supporting licensed and hospitality areas
- Providing clear directions and excellent customer service to spectators
This role may involve working indoors or outdoors and being on your feet for extended periods. You’ll be a visible, reassuring presence throughout the venue.
Beyond the Games – Ongoing Event Opportunities in Glasgow
There will also be opportunities for SIA Security Officers to support our current Events Team working at some of Glasgow’s top venues. This is your chance to be involved in sporting and live entertainment events at Hampden Park, Ibrox Stadium, Celtic Football Club, Scotstoun Stadium, SEC Armadillo, Scottish Event Campus, SWG3 and Edmiston House.
Events include: Scottish League Cup Games, Take That (12‑13 June), TRNSMT (19‑21 June), Metallica (25 June), Glasgow Summer Sessions (27 June‑4 July), Calvin Harris (1‑2 August) and many more major sporting and entertainment events.

- Must be over 18
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Availability between 23rd July - 2nd August 2026, including early mornings and late evenings
