G4S Events is currently recruiting experienced SIA Licensed Officers to work at Farnborough International Airshow 2026. If you’re confident, professional, and ready to work in a fast-paced events environment, then we want to hear from you! This role offers flexible work options, making it ideal for those seeking a second job or additional income. You’ll also have opportunities to work at some of the biggest events and iconic venues across the UK, if you’re open to travel.
As a DS licensed Security Officer, you’ll be the visible, friendly face of safety, helping to ensure visitors and staff have a safe and enjoyable experience. You should be comfortable in handling any incidents which may occur and deal with conflict management in a professional manner.
You will be working as part of an enthusiastic team that helps to keep the venue, staff and visitors safe and secure throughout. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience such as customer service, communication, health & safety, teamwork, problem solving to deliver the gold standard of service for this prestigious event.
Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any call made by control in relation to crowd disturbances.
- Deal with crowd disruptions (sometimes physical removals/extractions).
- Robust response when required.
- Body and bag searches if required.
- Monitor crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action to resolve as necessary.
- Ensure that all secured zones within the venue remain free of prohibited and restricted items.
The event runs from 20-24 July 2026; however, build and break shifts are available in the weeks prior to and post event. Free on-site car parking available for staff. Non-drivers, please check your local transport connection to ensure you can get to and from the site at the Farnborough Exhibition Centre, as we are unable to provide any transport.
Requirements:
- Front-line Door Supervisor SIA Licence.
- Good approach to teamwork and conflict resolution.
- Professional and flexible attitude and presence.
- Client awareness and be customer focused.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, alert and observant – you are naturally security conscious.
