About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Area Security Officer to join our dedicated team providing security and customer service across various Civil Service contract sites. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to experience diverse environments and challenges, contributing significantly to the resilience of our established team.
As an Area Security Officer, you will be an integral part of our front-facing team, working closely with our Civil Service clients. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining robust security protocols. This position requires adaptability as you will be responsible for covering a minimum of five different sites within a 30-mile radius of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, front-facing customer service to clients and visitors.
- Manage and operate access control systems efficiently.
- Perform site open-up and lock-up procedures as required.
- Utilize strong reporting skills to accurately document incidents and daily activities.
- Strictly adhere to site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Act as a visible and reassuring security presence across multiple locations.
- Support the overall security team, enhancing operational flexibility and resilience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a security or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observational and reporting abilities.
- A professional and customer-friendly demeanor.
- Flexibility to travel to various sites within a 30-mile radius of your home.
- Valid SIA license (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement).
