Location: Tollymore Forest Park, Newcastle

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and customer-focused individual to join the G4S team as a Security Officer at Tollymore Forest Park. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting our client to secure the site while ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a public-facing environment and maintains high security standards through excellence in customer service and proactive vigilance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control & Site Security: Manage robust access controls for personnel and vehicles, ensuring all established security protocols are strictly followed.
  • Patrols & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols across the site to maintain perimeter integrity and provide a visible security presence.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as a primary point of contact for visitors, providing professional 'meet and greet' services and building a positive rapport with all stakeholders.
  • Vigilance & Risk Mitigation: Remain vigilant in identifying and mitigating potential security risks or breaches to ensure the safety of people and property.
  • Communication & Reporting: Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear information and maintain accurate records of site activities or incidents.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms or security incidents, applying professional de-escalation and problem-solving skills as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • SIA License: Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) license.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A 'great way with people' and a track record of customer service excellence.
  • Communication: Strong reporting skills and the ability to communicate confidently with diverse clientele.
  • Vigilance: A keen eye for detail and commitment to site security protocols.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated team environment.
