The predicted salary is between 43775 - 43775 € per year.

£43,775 - pro rata

40 hours per week, on a fixed term contract for maternity cover.

Job Overview: The Contract Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of the requirements of the agreed contract, whilst managing, supporting and developing the current team of Operations Managers, contracted Security Officers and casual pool of frontline employees. This role will also be intrinsic in providing support and coaching to the Senior Security Supervisors/Team Leaders/Managers employed on the contract to ensure continued business success. This role will require working evenings and weekends as part of a regional Events Management Team, working in line with the needs of the business. The role will, from time to time, be required to support operational delivery at the contract and with other client accounts.

Reporting to: the Regional Director/Area Manager

Additional reporting/working relationships: Training, Resourcing, HR, Casual Events Workforce, SSUK Management, clients, Sales, compliance, SSUK Operational Managers and Finance

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships through planning, implementation and management of successful security and stewarding operations, delivering client vision, strategy and performance requirements.
  • Provide operational support for key events and operations within the clients portfolio, including large and/or higher risk events.
  • Constructively challenge current thinking and practice, offering new ideas, alternatives or improvements to existing products, services and approaches.
  • Periodic service evaluation of the contract, identifying successes and weaknesses and recommend corrective action programs where appropriate.
  • Introduce services (such as technology) to bring added value to the contract and ensure the business is aligned with the customers vision & strategy.
  • Ownership of site documentation and edits such as Assignment Instructions, Crowd Management Plans, Operating Plans, SOPs/WOWs, Risk Assessments and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Understand risk particularly with respect to level of crime, terrorism, workplace violence, threats from natural and man-made disasters.
  • Liaison with all providers of security services across client business.
  • Maintain knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology and update customers on risk and threat that could impact client business.
  • Operational oversight for developing and implementing security plans, security programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Information Protection, Incident Management and/or Investigation.
  • Manage and support HR and Employee Relations for the team of operations managers, employed staff and casual workers, both within the client service.
  • Leading workforce requirements onsite in respect of recruitment, training and deployment with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify new opportunities for new business, additions to existing business and non contractual work, as well as a local knowledge of competitor activity as well as representing G4S and Customer at relevant industry events.
  • Ownership of site logistics and equipment such as vehicles, uniform/PPE and transport.
  • Ongoing support, coaching and mentoring of the workforce to ensure all G4S workers are performing their role correctly when on site, maintaining all elements of public safety.

Contract Specific Duties:

  • Produce comprehensive monthly reports, including KPI reporting using the provided template, for presentation to the client each month.
  • Attend and proactively participate within the agreed meeting schedule of the contract.
  • Represent G4S and the client and 3rd party meetings, such as table tops or advisory groups.
  • Provide operational support to notable or higher risk events on the site.

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Experience in the events security & crowd management industry
  • Client centric focus with experience of managing service level agreements and key performance indicators
  • Strong partnering, communication, influencing and presentation skills with an emphasis on the customer
  • People management skills with experience of dealing with HR related people issues
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Financial awareness, with an understanding of Profit and Loss accounts
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, with a flexible attitude
  • Acts with the highest levels of integrity
  • SIA Licence – Door Supervisor

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing a casual workforce
  • Experience within the events management sector
  • A proven track record in Operational Security Management of large, high risk and/or multi-day events.
  • Previous stakeholder management experience in dealing with a range of principal customers
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify client/business needs and develop and drive targeted solutions
  • Security management experience - delivering success through leading and inspiring high performing teams and positive workplace cultures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Has led the implementation of change programmes to deliver client benefits
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • SIA Public Surveillance CCTV licence
