About the Role

We are looking to recruit additional Events Safety Stewards to support our current Events Team working at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Hive Stadium, Edinburgh Corn Exchange and Royal Highland Centre. You could be part of making events such as Terminal V Festival (April 18 - 19), Royal Highland Show (June 18-21) and concerts like Zach Bryan (June 14), Luke Combs (July 24-25), Bon Jovi (August 28), Edinburgh Summer Sessions (August 23-29) a success.

Our Events Safety Stewards provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors, on your feet showing visitors where to go, checking tickets at entry points, monitoring crowds, or managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you will be a helpful and friendly face representing the event.

As an Events Safety Steward, you will be responsible for helping to keep venues, staff, and visitors safe. This may include:

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Greeting, assisting and directing visitors attending the event
  • Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
  • Monitoring visitor / crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends
  • A friendly, professional, and reliable attitude with a strong focus on great customer service
  • Confident communication skills and a smart, well presented appearance
  • No experience is required as we will give you all the training you need - applicants holding their Level 2 in Spectator Safety (or above) are preferred but not essential, however, you must be willing to go through the funded training once on board.
