About the Role

We are looking to recruit additional SIA Security Officers to support our current Events Team working at Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh - hosting various festivals and events. Additionally, you could find yourself supporting broader music and sports events at venues such as Edinburgh Corn Exchange and Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

If you hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, are confident, professional, eager to engage with customers, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Our Events SIA Security Officers provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors, on your feet showing visitors where to go, checking tickets at entry points, monitoring crowds, or managing car parking facilities.

As an Events SIA Security Officer, you will be responsible for securing venues, staff, and visitors for our customers. This may include:

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Searching visitors upon entry to venues
  • Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
  • Monitoring visitor/crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
  • Dealing with visitor/crowd disruptions
  • Securing licensed/hospitality areas

Requirements:

  • SIA Door Supervisor license required
  • Previous experience in events is not essential as full training will be provided
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focused

For this role, you must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence - don’t worry, if you don't have this you can still be considered as Events Safety Steward.
