Position Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support. This role delivers the highest standards of service efficiently to maintain customer plant and equipment as installed on site covered by our maintenance and service contract. The goal is to maximize technician productivity, enhance the overall customer experience and improve operational technical processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
  • Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Customer Breakdowns, Warranty work, Hire and Commissioning workloads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Sales, and Operations teams, establishing communication channels to share customer insights.
  • Use cutting‑edge software, technology, and hand‑tools following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders and communicate updates to supervisors, region service managers, senior technicians, and customers to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Proven experience in a service or field‑based technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic software, applications, and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry an advantage.
  • Positive mindset, ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled‑based certificates with F‑Gas and ability to cover standby and call‑outs on a planned schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • UK driver’s licence (company vehicle will be allocated).
  • Right to work status confirmed for the country of application.
