Responsible for mechanical design engineering tasks including:
- 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor.
- 2D drafting using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Autodesk Inventor.
- Production and reviewing of engineering drawings and technical documentation, including integration of multiple services and systems.
- Production of bills of materials (BoMs).
- Preparing and reviewing manufacturing and integration/installation packages.
- Providing technical support during production and integration.
- Report writing, including proposals, statement of work (SOW) and specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical tenders and budgets.
- Requests for quotations for specialist equipment.
- Managing and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Leading and participating in internal and external design review meetings.
- Work collaboratively with design engineers and project managers.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years post qualification experience in a design environment.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Previous experience of integration of multiple services within containerised or modular builds advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations.
- Ability to read and fully understand engineering plans and details.
- Excellent technical understanding of engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of BS/ISO Standards.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Creative problem solver with an analytical approach to implementation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and work to deadlines.
