Alongside our many new opportunities due to a new project, we are looking to hire a Project Engineer to join us at G3 Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts.
Mobilisation: Support the Mobilisation of the Project. Produce and maintain the project Trials, Verification and Validation Plan. Assist with supplier approval audits and onboarding in line with the mobilisation plan.
Service Delivery: Provide engineering expertise and advice to the project team. Produce and maintain project plans and technical documentation. Provide an interface between Project, Engineering Disciplines and suppliers on technical issues, snags and non-conformances. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions. Equipment installation, commissioning, testing and acceptance IAW Trials, Verification and Validation Plan. Participation and input to Design Review meetings, ensuring compliance with project technical requirements specification. Maintain effective communication and relationships with suppliers. Monitoring the quality of project deliverables ensuring compliance with any relevant industry standard or project specific quality requirements. Conduct Investigation of Product / service non-conforming products or services, providing detailed reports, evidence of findings and maintaining records. Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field. Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project delivery. Ensure weekly and monthly reporting material is provided and maintained. Engender and maintain a mission zero safety culture throughout the programme delivery team and supply chain.
International Travel: The role will require significant UK and overseas travel, mostly in Europe, to complete supplier inspections and audits and carry out equipment acceptance inspections. To this end the candidate must be willing and able to travel, both in the UK and overseas.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Engineering degree in a related discipline, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- Active certification in an engineering professional organisation.
- An understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment.
- Demonstrable experience in a Project Engineering role.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Strong ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
- IT skills MS office, word excel.
- Ability to communicate orally, in writing, produce reports technical / non-technical and give presentations.
- Security Cleared or be able to achieve security clearance.
