G3 Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex deployable Engineered System Solutions (ESS) projects supporting the MOD, Home Office, and international defence clients. This role is pivotal in delivering high-value, mission-critical solutions on time, on budget, and to specification. You will take full ownership of multiple projects, managing multi-disciplined teams, resources, risk, and budgets, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong engagement with defence stakeholders, suppliers, and government clients, ensuring the highest levels of operational and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver multiple ESS projects for defence and government clients, ensuring contractual requirements are met
- Lead multi-disciplined project teams across electrical, mechanical, and technical disciplines
- Own project budgets, delegated financial responsibility, and accurate reporting
- Develop and maintain project risk registers, KPIs, and dashboards
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with MOD, Home Office, and international defence partners
- Produce and maintain MS Project plans, schedules, and timely technical and budgetary reports
- Support business development for new defence and government contracts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying cost savings, efficiency gains, and operational improvements
- Facilitate workshops, training, and coaching to enhance team capability
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognised Project Management qualification (APM preferred)
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (minimum C&G level or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ Project Management experience in defence or government projects
- Proven track record managing MOD, Home Office, or international military contracts
- Strong planning, programme management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence decisions through robust business cases
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Excellent communication, record keeping, and organisational skills
