This is an exciting expatriate opportunity to work on an international construction project in Africa. Please note, applicants will be required to obtain UK standard baseline security clearance to secure the role.
Salary: £75,000 - £82,500 (gross) per annum
Task Descriptions:
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, staff and supply chain within their control under the strict observance of the G3 Systems Safety policy.
- Ensure PPE is being correctly worn relevant to the company's policy and sub-contractors RAMs.
- Work safely, stopping work if unsafe and speaking up to address any safety concerns.
- Participate in safety initiatives.
- Ensure all materials delivered to site meet production needs, in line with the UK Commercial team, with special attention to BS-EN materials.
- Identify all additional work and ensure the site team is fully aware of all potential opportunities and risks in line with mechanical BOQ.
- Communicate any project issues/risks to the site team to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification and time risks.
- Attend daily meetings regarding daily progress and upcoming works.
- Send meeting minutes to relevant contractors regarding conversations held on site.
- Conduct quality checks of installation works completed using I-Auditor software.
- Ensure work areas are ready for key stage inspections.
- Act as on-site surveyor for G3 CDP mechanical items, working collaboratively with the sub-contractor to ensure conformity with specifications and layout drawings.
- Manage O&M production with G3 and sub-contractors.
Qualifications Required: (a minimum of two of the following)
- Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies (6035-02)
- Diploma in Heating and Ventilating - Industrial and Commercial Installation (6188-30)
- Diploma in Heating and Ventilating - Ductwork Installation (6188-31)
- Diploma in Planned and Reactive Maintenance on Heating and Ventilating Systems (6188-32)
- Award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations 2079: Category I - Leak checking, recovery, installation, service, maintenance of equipment
- Level 2 & 3 NVQ Diplomas in Heating and Ventilation
Skills / Experience Required:
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills, with the ability and confidence to coordinate and direct third party contractors and employees.
- A rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning & project management skills.
- Previous experience providing installation compliance for Mechanical sub-contractors, taking operational responsibility for the Mechanical service delivery on the site.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Demonstrable experience in a Mechanical Discipline (f-gas, HVAC or Plumbing) ideally within an FM or Construction environment and/or secure environment, military, health or similar sectors.
