Due to an increase in Engineer call outs for our ongoing projects, we have an available opportunity for an Electrical Field Service Engineer to work on assist with customers at locations worldwide.
Overview
Employed by G3 Systems as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) Electrical biased, working in support of G3 Systems equipment in use by the customer at locations worldwide. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
Key responsibilities:
Equipment Service, Maintenance & Repair:
- Service, maintain, and repair G3 Systems supported equipment at customer sites globally, ensuring operational readiness.
- Respond to customer requests for technical assistance, providing timely and effective support both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, ensuring prompt resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
Technical Support & Customer Interaction:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, offering expert technical support via telephone, email, or on-site presence.
- Provide solutions to complex technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality support and fostering a collaborative approach.
Engineering Projects & Integration:
- Participate in engineering projects and tasks within the G3 Systems Integration Facility, contributing to the development and deployment of new solutions.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Produce detailed reports and documentation for each task, including service reports, maintenance logs, and fault diagnoses.
- Ensure all paperwork required for the execution of tasks is completed accurately and on time, adhering to internal procedures.
Spare Parts Management:
- Order and manage spare parts as required, ensuring availability of necessary components to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory and usage to support cost-effective operations.
Safety & Compliance:
- Promote a safe system of work ethos by adhering to G3 Systems' Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all tasks, particularly when working in high-risk environments.
Tooling & Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and manage tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Regularly inspect, calibrate, and service tools to ensure their readiness for field tasks.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a Field Service or Engineering support role.
- Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- The ability and confidence to work alone when required under pressure situations.
- Practical fault-finding experience, and the ability to demonstrate this experience.
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
- Security clearance or ability to gain security clearance.
- MoD or military experience
- Previously held SC clearance or capable of gaining the SC clearance upon hiring.

Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
Level 3 Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations
Level 3 Periodic Inspections, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

Working Hours: Hours dependant on the current project, TBD further upon application.
